I’ll get started as soon as your recipient contacts me to activate their gift and responds to the initial questions I’ll have for them. Once I have the info I need, I’ll get researching. I’ll spend up to 2 weeks searching and monitoring their flight but as soon as I identify that sweet-spot flight within their points budget, I’ll send over their flight plan so they can get it booked ASAP.

That’s awesome! The more flexible they are, the more likely they are to find an epic flight within your points budget.

For each booking, I’ll search up to 3 different destinations, with a target date range of up to 6 months each.

Once I find a great lie-flat deal, I’ll send it over to your recipient ASAP so they can make it theirs before availability disappears.

Dates: I can search any dates, but finding award availability is most likely when booking 5-12 months before the flight.

So someone who activates their voucher in January should realistically be looking at flights for May-December, and someone activating in March should be looking at dates in July 2025-February 2026.

But shorter-term rewards DO exist, and I’ll always do my best to accommodate those requests.

Destinations: I’ll help search for tickets to pretty much anywhere globally. And I’ll always prioritize finding flights to/from your recipient’s nearest home airport. But it’s always subject to award availability…

The best points redemptions are often from larger airports. So flying most of the way there in lie-flat luxury might require taking a short “positioning flight” booked separately with cash or points in order to fully connect your recipient’s stops together…especially if their home airport isn’t well-connected to their destination.

For example, your recipient might not have enough points to fly lie-flat to Asia from Miami, but they might be able to lie flat from New York (or LA or San Francisco). (They’d just need to book a separate short flight there from Miami.) Positioning flights are a great way to get a bed in the sky and fly in style most of the way…without blowing the points budget.

In designing the flight plan, I primarily take into account US-based credit card point accounts including American Express, Chase, Capital One, and Citibank, as well as American Airlines Aadvantage.

If your recipient has points in any other programs, I’ll ask them for that information before I search for flights in case those can also be used/combined with their other points…but they shouldn’t be relied on as the main source of points for their trip.

As a baseline, plan on 60,000+ points per person one-way to Europe and 90,000-110,000+ for longer-haul. But flights for fewer points are often possible! Especially with flexibility (dates/airports) and leveraging periodic transfer bonuses offered by the banks.

I’ll always search for options using the lowest points possible for the greatest possible value. I’ll also leverage any of the transfer bonuses offered periodically by the banks.

No (because you need to access your own bank and airline frequent flyer accounts in order to book). I provide the customized flight plan + easy-to-follow step-by-step booking instructions.

Every award ticket requires that mandatory taxes+fees be paid in cash. These vary widely depending on the airline/route, but they generally range from $5.60 to a few hundred dollars.

In most cases, the taxes+fees to redeem lie-flat business flights cost less than the cash price of an economy ticket.

When creating your flight plan, I’ll aim to minimize the cost of taxes+fees.

Your gift never goes to waste if activated by March 31, 2026. That gives your recipient some additional time after receiving your gift to earn more points before we start actively searching their flight.

But if they still don’t have enough points, I’ll use their available points to plan the best alternative flight plan based on what’s available (whether that means flying on different dates, or premium economy/ economy) so they’ll still get the best deal possible with the points they’ve got.

If on the rare chance that nothing’s bookable right now using their points, your gift will convert to a Points Booking Coaching Session (a 45-minute live video call during which I’ll share my screen and show them step-by-step how to search for their flight so they know exactly how to do it once they have enough points in their account).

It means your recipient must email me a copy of their gift voucher by March 31, 2026 (at cass@offpathonpurpose.com) AND provide all the details I request from them in response, within 30 days of my request. The details I request will be required to search for their flight (including: point balances, destination(s), month(s), # of travelers, departure airport options, etc.).

After activation, the recipient must remain responsive…if they fail to reply to any requests within 30 days, the voucher is considered fulfilled.

Award seats are limited and can disappear quickly. I’m not responsible for availability changing before you book, but I’ll present the best options and guidance to book fast (and provide nearby alternate dates where possible so you have a backup if your first choice disappears before booking).

I always suggest calling the airlines as soon as I send you your flight plan to ask them to hold the flight for you BEFORE transferring any points, to make sure it’s still available once you transfer the points to the airline. But not all airlines offer this, so it’s critical to move quickly once you have your flight plan in hand.

All sales are final due to the personalized nature of the service.

Award availability is limited and often unpredictable, so I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to find a lie-flat seats within your recipient’s exact dates/destinations.

Your recipient is usually the one with the most control over this because…the more points they have, the more flexible they are on dates and the more willing they are to take a short positioning flight, the more likely there are to be award flights available within their points budget.

What I CAN guarantee is that I’ll treat your recipient’s flight like my own…I’ll research and track the flight for up to 2 weeks, using my hundred of hours of experience and all the tools I’ve acquired over the years to find the best flights that work with your recipient’s points budget, whether that’s first-class, lie-flat business, premium economy or economy.

In the very rare event that I can’t find ANY flights for your recipient, they’ll get a one-on-one 45-minute live Points Booking Coaching Session where I’ll share my screen and search for their flight live so they know exactly how to book that flight once they’ve boosted their points budget ($300 value).

One more thing to note is that post-booking aircraft changes do happen very rarely (it happened to me once, and the new aircraft was an older business class without lie-flat seats). On the off-chance that this happens to your recipient, they’ll usually get some compensation but exactly what depends on the airline and route. This is just one of those risks of travel that exist even when paying full cash fares for the seats.
